Current Community Service Projects

A current PZIWC community service project can use donations of plants and volunteers:

As part of our ongoing efforts to support the Municipality of Perez
Zeledon in its environmental protection and social well-being projects
some members of the International Women’s Club have been working at
the Finca Municipal ( a nice public woodland area) by working on the
fourth Tuesday of each month at the “Finca”. The area is in need of
increased biodiversity, color, and a general facelift of the public
spaces.

Usually, this is gardening, caring for the butterfly garden, working on
a bromeliad section and even, thanks to Sheelagh, an orchid section.

The next work day is Tuesday September 26, 2023:
We will meet at 8:00 am in the Finca Municipal parking lot
Bring gloves, hand gardening tools, plenty of water and snacks.
We usually finish at about 11:00 am.

Other ways to help are native plant donations. (This could be from
your own overgrown garden), or teaching a class to the community in
this lovely, peaceful place.

Hope to see you all there. If you have questions please contact us at pzwomansclub@gmail.com
Happy Gardening Moments to all.
